Earthquake Retrofit

The City of Los Angeles recently passed Ordinance 183893, which requires the retrofit of pre-1978 wood-frame soft-story buildings and non-ductile concrete buildings. This mandatory retrofit program reduces structural deficiencies and improves the performance of these buildings during earthquakes. Without proper structural strengthening, these vulnerable buildings have a high probability of having structural failure during or after an earthquake. Cybertech has successfully earthquake retrofitted more than 425 homes, and is contracted to earthquake retrofit an additional 48 homes in 2019. Cybertech is registered with California’s Residential Mitigation Program (CRMP) Earthquake Brace and Bolt (EBB) program.
